Q: What program do I need to open and use the templates?

A:The templates are created as .psd files so you will need Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to use the templates. A working knowledge of layers is recommended. Templates are created with CS4 and are compatible with Photoshop 7+. Many of my templates require the use of layer effects and color overlays to modify color. Photoshop Elements does not have the color overlay feature therefore the ability to customize the templates in PSE is limited.

Q: Do you offering printing?

A: No, Designs by Taz sells only digital products designed for photography professionals. A physical print/product will not be sent to you.

Q: Are there instructions for using your templates
?

A: Of course! All of my products rely on clipping masks for use. You may download general instructions here. A basic understanding of Photoshop and Layers is recommended. If you need any assistance, please feel free to contact me at the link above.

Q: What if I find a typo?

A: I do my best to proof for these errors, but please check over everything before you send to the printer! (and if you find something, please let me know so I can update the files for others)

Q: Can I use your templates to create cards to sell in an on-line store or Etsy?

A:NO. Designs by Taz templates are for professional photographers to create finished products for their clients using their professional photographs. In no way should these designs be made available to the general public (ie Ebay acutions, Esty etc.) in electronic, printed form or in any other manner.

Q: Why don’t you sell your templates to photographers in your area?


A: Part of the reason I started designing in the first place is because I like my clients to have unique products. For that reason, my designs are not available to photographers working or living within 30 miles of Boston, MA or Essex, VT.

Q: Where do you recommend printing?

A: The templates are formatted for WHCC, though most of the products can be printed at the lab of your choice, with a slight modification to the guides.

Q: Can I use template elements to create marketing pieces or my own designs?

A: Yes, just not as a logo. And you may not electronically resell or share your designs as your own. Ex. Using a graphic from a card design on your marketing mailer, OK. Using a paper from a book design to make a card with and sell on ETSY or to others in template form, NOT OK. Any questions just email me and I’ll be happy to help clarify.

Q: Photoshop is trying to update the fonts on my card, what do I do?

A: All the fonts used in the designs are suggestions, and are not included. If you don’t have a copy of the font used on your machine, Photoshop will want to substitute it. Most fonts can be purchased at myfonts.com for a nominal fee. Of course, if you don’t need to edit the text, you don’t need to update the font ☺

Q: I’ve purchased. When do I receive my template?

A: All templates are available for instant digital download. If you missed your download at checkout, simply log back into your account and click the ‘my account’ link in the top left corner of the page. You will be able to see a list of your previous purchases. Be sure to grab your downloads as soon as you can as they are only available for a limited time. If you paid via Paypal and your downloads aren’t available, you may have paid by ‘e-check’ and funds will have to clear from your account before your downloads will be available, which can take 3-10 days.
